BHIM App Cash Back Offers, Referral Bonus, Discounts on Payments to Be Introduced by Govt
Recently the Bharat Interface for Money – BHIM app has introduced by the Government to encourage cashless payments. This digital payment app is now acquired with some additional feature of cash back offer. On Wednesday Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has made an announcement regarding the BHIM App Cashback facility.
The BHIM App has got a good response from the people. Soon after its introduction this app is downloaded by lakhs of people and caused the server down also. As per the recent reports the BHIM App is presently used by 125 lakh people. It is now enhancing with new add-ons to provide more flexibility for the customers.
“Nearly 125 lakh people have adopted the BHIM app. Government will launch two new schemes — a referral bonus for consumers and a cash-back scheme for merchants — to promote the use of BHIM,” Jaitely said while presenting the Union Budget 2017-18 in the Lok Sabha.
Cashback Offers & Discounts on BHIM App :
The Bharat Interface for Money – BHIM App is the Unified Payment Interface (UPI) based application. This app has been introduced on 30th Dec on Google play store. Clients can make their payments and transfers simply with the BHIM app. National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has launched the BHIM App to encourage the digital transactions in India. This app is hugely supported by many banks in India. The BHIM App also supports the aadhar based payments. On Wednesday, the Government has announced that the BHIM App is now awarding the customers with cashback offers.
After demonetization on 8th November, people have experienced several problems of shortage of money in ATMs and other cash related problems. The UPI-based app PayTM and other apps have got the good response from the public. The PayTM has offered the cashback offer for its clients to boost the usage of the app. Now the BHIM app has also got the facility of cashback from the Government. On Wednesday, the Government has announced that the BHIM App is now awarding the customers with cashback offers.
“From setting up a separate payments regulatory body to providing cash-backs to BHIM merchants are good initiatives to further boost the digital payments landscape that will lead to financial inclusion in the country,” Saket Modi, CEO and co-founder of Lucideus, the IT risk assessment company that provides security for BHIM, told IANS.
“Setting up the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) for the financial sector was a need of the hour and we are happy to see it being addressed by the Finance Minister. We now hope the execution happens in a timely and efficient manner for all the mentioned initiatives,” Modi added.
